Calcutta University was establishes on the January 24, 1857, which is located in the city of Calcutta. It is the first modern university in the Indian subcontinent.
It has its central campus in College Street called Ashutosh Shiksha Prangan and other campuses in all over the Calcutta, which is known as different name. This university provides different types of programme at all the level of education like Arts, Commerce, Science and others.
